NEEDLE LOCK STRUCTURE
- The structure of AM-650 is unique through out the ceramic industry because of it's patented design. It has reinforced fibers running through it giving it the strongest possible edge strength which leads to longer tool life and less edge chipping.
- Milling before AM-650 was always some what of hit and miss because of the relative weakness of ceramic inserts, with the new grain structure milling has now become very adaptive to ceramics.
- AM-650 is very well suited for all cast iron turning, it use to be that silicon nitride inserts were used only for roughing operations,then you would have to use a hot press ceramic for finishing,now you can use only one insert for rough and finish.
- All standard insert shapes and sizes are available for immediate delivery.
- Ceramic tools are very cost effective for high production because they allow the fastest cutting speeds possible which in turn leads to greater up-time reducing the machining cost per part.
