Particularly designed for machine tapping in bottoming and semi-bottoming holes with sufficient chip space. Shearing action of the point in cut produces curled, free-flowing chips ejected ahead of the tap. They are suitable for use in wide variety of materials and may be run at higher speeds than conventional straight fluted taps.
