USE
Ideal for tapping zinc, stainless steel, magnesium, lead, leaded steel, die castings, copper, brass, aluminum and other ductile metals especially where chip removal is a problem.
SPECS
Furnished in plug and bottoming styles in the thread limits shown. The material being tapped is displaced rather than removed as in conventional tapping, therefore, correct tap drill size is extremely important.
NOTE
Tap drill sizes for informer taps differ from conventional tap drill sizes. Limit number 10 - Basic Pitch Diameter plus .005". 10 Limit Taps are usually used for threaded holes to be plated.
